We are very proud to have been awarded the High Sheriff Award at the Northamptonshire Community Foundation Annual Awards last week. The award recognised the success of our Safe Choices project. This project was an awareness and preventative education project delivered to 16-25 year olds in Northamptonshire, raising awareness about the dangers and risks associated with New Psychoactive Substances, commonly referred to as 'legal highs'. We delivered a selection of awareness roadshows and education workshops specifically targeting fresher students and students in complimentary education. We provided advice, information and support. We also promoted 'natural highs' (non chemical), encouraging young people to think about what they can do to find their 'natural high' ie. sport, art, volunteering, music. We are very proud of this project and thrilled to have been recognised for this award.
